A great man
Alan was a highly respected guitarist’s guitarist. His percussive style was well suited to the style the Marbles made their own.
Alan was a fine singer in his own right, and took the lead in a number of songs.
He demonstrated a subtle and sensitive approach to both his playing and vocals, which was clearly evident in the Marbles performances.
A lovely human being. A fine singer. And a real pro guitarist.
We miss you, Alan.
“This great man needed no fanfare to promote his worth.
This great man was great for who he was, how he treated all he met and the joy he generated through his talent.
This great man is such a great loss that is only helped by the great memories he has left us.”
